I am a senior in high school and I have an account with Bank of America. I have been told that it is recommended that I sign up for online banking due to all the benefits that they offers. However my mom never puts any of her bank information online because she does not trust the internet. If anyone who have an Bank of America account and uses banking online. Would you recommend that others should enroll for it as well?

Here’s a tip that will help keep your account safe: never click a link in an email to get to your online account. Always type bankofamerica.com into your address bar. This will protect you from fake emails from people who are trying to steal your bank account information.

I’ve never had a problem with anyone hacking into my account or anything and I’ve used online banking for about 3 years. I also have a basic antivirus system and firewall and a wireless internet connection. I believe its perfectly safe.

Answer by Chris I cannot say that nothing bad ever happens but I’ve been using Bank of America online banking for a few years now without any problems and they seem very concerned with security.

We have norton and barclays bank is a secure encrypted site but our wireless network is unsecure, but we are waiting for someone to set up the secure network. But would it be ok to online bank while the wireless network is unsecure or should i wait?
