“For your security, we cannot proceed with your request. Please call us on 0845 600 2290 quoting reference 039, and we will be happy to help.”- that’s what they said when I tried to register for internet banking. Can someone please tell me what the problem is?

format the hard drive then re-install the oprating system,
because you have probably got a keylogger installed
and they are nearly always impossible to completely remove by any other means.

I opened up a checking and savings account today including an online banking account. I went online to check my transaction history for my checking account and it keeps saying “Transaction history for the account is not currently available.We apologize for the inconvenience.Please try again after 2 business day” Is this normal or should I ask the bank about this?

Yes, that is completely normal. It will take a couple of days for them to put everything into the system. It can take up to a week, but that’s not likely.

i need to send money to a friend its very important as they are in a bad situation and was wondering if im with westpac and there with commonwealth and i transfer them money through internet banking, the money has been taken out of my account and a payment slip was shown which i didnt save…how long is it going to take for them to receive the money ? plus its a public holiday here today in australia??? pleaz can someoen help me i was hoping it would go in instantly or at least overnight

It will not be instantaneous as you are in 2 different banks. As today is a public holiday (though not in WA) the transaction will only be processed tomorrow. From there, if your friend is lucky, they’ll receive the funds by the end of tomorrow, if not, on wednesday.

If the bank site is updateing etc..you will not be able to log in during that time.

ING Direct is a good example of a CyberBank.
I think HSBC has a VirtualBank too.
You can access your balances completely online. I’m sure they have credit/debit cards just like all other banks.
