Question posed by Simon Tomlinson: HSBC Internet Banking ‘Updates’?
I am wondering how long it takes for a transaction to appear on your Personal Internet Banking with HSBC. I made a card payment around 24 hours ago and it has yet to come up on the ‘Account Summary’ page.
The irony is I work in the technology services for HSBC, however, I have been told by everyone in the office that it should be instantaneous, but figured I’d go for experience of the public rather than assumptions of the creators.
Thanks guys.
It’s a simple card transaction, like going into a shop and using my debit card for a £10 transaction.

Answer by troyboy unless you do a transaction for immediate posting and pay the $ 15.00 it will take a couple of days to post

A question from kat: African banking internet scam artists: funny or annoying?
Hello, I’m a banker from West Africa and your relative you never heard of nor even related to died in a horrible accident and you can collect 25 million dollars from his funds. But you have to send me all your personal information like SSN and bank account number. Please ignore the fact I can’t spell for beans and my grammer makes no sense.
Are these emails entertaining or annoying?

Answer by nye_r Annoying. There are those who will believe anything though.
A question from kroox127: online banking?
I recently opened up a bank account at charter one. I want to set up an online account so I can check my balance online. The problem is I changed my pin from the original i just got. So i clicked on enroll now and put in my new pin and it says error, so i put in my old one and its fine. Then i realize i dont want it set up through my old one. How long will it take for the bank to recognize i have a new pin or do i have to tell them? Will it hurt having an extra one enrolled even though i didn’t finish setting it up?

A question from xTF rules : online banking?
I’m 16, I want to open a online bank account. Right now I have a bank account with B of A and I’m only getting 0.20% interest and I have 2,101.82$ in the bank right now, and I have about another 300$ to deposit right now.
I’m looking to switch to a online bank account for the ease of it, and for higher interest rates then a measly 0.20%

Answer by mukwonago53149 Emigrant Direct is the best way to go. If you open the account yourself at EmigrantDirect.com – you get the account. If you want to open it through me (I’m a broker for them), I’ll give you $ 10.
