Garanti Bank, one of the biggest banks in Turkey, wanted more of it’s clients to use online banking. Over the years they aquired 1.6 million online users but they were stuck at that number. Despite all the big budget TV campaigns, the number wasn’t increasing . We used Garanti Bank’s database to find out the people who are Garanti clients but have never used online banking. I am really anxious about getting an online bank account. It is more convenient. HSBC is only a dollar to open up. I didn’t want to do Bank of America ($ 25). So does PayPal take HSBC?

Here’s a tip that will help keep your account safe: never click a link in an email to get to your online account. Always type bankofamerica.com into your address bar. This will protect you from fake emails from people who are trying to steal your bank account information.

Answer by exactduke You have the person whose account you want to deposit into, fill out a direct deposit authorization form & submit it to his/her bank. Banks do not readily give out bank routing numbers, depositor’s account numbers and passwords. They’re sorta funny that way (go figure).

M&I internet banking sent me an e-mail about an account I never knew I had supposedly created with them. The e-mail contained a link that got me to a forbidden 404 page. Anyone know what the deal is here? Am I being phished around?
