What does a ‘trojan horse’ virus do to your computer?

Trogan Horses aren’t spyware so no they won’t necessarily steal your data. Trogan Horse’s are designed to replicate and dig deep into a folder to make copies of itself. They are a pain to get rid of, but they won’t reach your security files if it’s quarantined. Your main problem is what type of trogan hourse. Some can replicate and expand until your hard-drive crashes. Just use a Anti-Virus Program and use it to delete and safety remove the trogan.

Usually, they are used to spy on personal files you do not even know are being kept. For instance, if you were on explicit websites, a security thing can pop up saying that adult content has been detected. It can destroy files. They sometimes install an invisible, undeleteable file.
Like the original Trojan Horse, it is disguised as something big, but unfolds and expands to self-download files to take up disc space, causing your computer to eventually crash. Just because it’s quarantined doesn’t mean that you will recover lost disc space, you’ll need to delete it.
No, it won’t have access to your private info, but it’s a good idea to not have it stored on your computer at all, unless it’s a paypal account.
Since you didn’t mention which one we can’t tell you what it does. They all do different things.
A Trojan horse is not the name of a specific virus, but rather a category of virus’ which hides a malicious payload in a seemingly innocent package. To determine the effects of your specific attack you should look it up (using whatever information your anti virus product provides) in one of the virus’ databases. Try your anti virus products website or to get started.
