You can’t. Your parents are idiots who don’t know what century it is.
there is AVG virus pro you can buy for 50$ and its suppose to prevent identity theft and help online banking more secure.
have you seen windows 8 Commercial…. if you haven’t you should watch it…. like teachers would say don’t trust strangers on chat… same thing
Wait until you are an adult and do what you want, in the interim listen to your parents as they only want what is best for you.
Read the article on the link below about the new breed of hijacking and see if you still want to open an online account. I’m not saying it can’t be done safely. I’m only saying you are a kid and kids get careless.. That’s just part of being a kid… Pick and choose your battles in life.. This isn’t worth what it will cost you if you get hacked.
Your parents are spot on – internet banking ISN’T secure. Unless you are sure that your computer is as protected as it can be on the internet, that you won’t fall for scams, and that you have taken safeguards against browser tricks, it’s the best way to run into trouble.
I fall into the category of very safe computers; my kids accuse me of being paranoid but they haven’t met the “real world” yet. My technologically challenged husband does internet banking on our computers and we haven’t had any problems. He uses a shortcut I set up for him. On the other hand, tonight I warned a friend that he’d better change all his passwords using a different computer, go right through his bank statement and get onto his bank straight away if anything looked suspicious, and left him with some more computer cleaning to do after I ran Malwarebytes and removed over 700 items from his computer that were stopping him from getting online. Some of those items were marked as data stealing. Most of them looked pretty serious.
Stick with going into the bank for now until you and your parents are well-educated in computers, to the point that they are convinced they can use online banking without running into trouble.
