Is accessing the internet via my cell phone safe? Can the info be stolen?

Any time you send out information, it can be hacked.
Srufing from your cell is a little less safe than surfing from home, but only very slightly. Specifically, since your phone is broadcasting over open airwaves, there is teh additional risk that someone could have an additonal receiver set-up and intercept those signals as they are being relayed via the cell tower network. There is nothign you can do about it if they are, and no way you would know it in the first place.
Fortuantely the odds of that happening are far less than the odds of you getting hit by a bus while you are distracted by your device.
Anything online can be hacked, but you can take steps to make sure you don’t. One thing you can do is choose a safe password and change it frequently.
