almost all banks have internet only accounts.
ING Direct is a web-only bank. Been using them for about 2 yrs now. No complaints. It takes about 2-3 business days to transfer your funds from bank account to bank account. They also have a good savings interest rate. There are higher ones, however. Not sure how reliable those are.
Another thing to consider is the fact that almost all local banks have online access as well. So ATM convenience and things like that are something to consider when choosing the right bank.
I have EmigrantDirect savings account for a year and 4 month, YSP more than 5%, very easy to manage, no fees or additional conditions like minimum balance, second account, etc.
I am sorry, just checked, it is 4.75% now.
ING is great.
