Identity theft?
I have a question in regards to identity theft…
I knew someone who was a victim and they never found out who stole his identity. How do the FBI and police find the theif? What if their smart and use a different mailbox/phones computers to actually steal identity. I guess this is a sad question in regards that milllions get their identity stolen per year. bye

Usually, your identity is stolen by a wallet and a good plan. Even a credit card can have your identitiy ruined. The police waits until some item in the wallet is being used, lets say a credit card. Then, they can track the user down.
If your identity is stolen, unless you willingly give information to aid the thief (i.e. password, pin number, etc.), the banks are responsible so don’t worry. That’s why there’s so much publicity about it. They have to fork out!
well he he gets credit cards under the stolen name and uses it then the police can track where and when its been used and ask cashiers or store employees to see camera ,oh and the credit bureau will let you know if a card was made under your name and when.
Sadly, most of them are never caught.
Especially the ones who are here illegally from another country.
Many of them have no real ID known in this country.
Only the stolen ones that they use here.
