I do not make use of online banking nor do i trust it.
With the technology the fraudsters have today, anything is possible. I know of a scam where the fraudsters installed software on PC’s at internet cafe’s. This software will remember the password to every site you visit.
No thank you, i will stand in queue
No matter where in the world you find yourself, I doubt you are safe from internet fraud

Do you think it makes a big difference where we are located? I had my fingers burned slightly once or twice, but mostly it has been no problem.

Skooby, what I meant was that most people I know here (UK) does internet banking, where as back home, it is a very small minority. I also think that we are probably a little bit better protected here as regards the banks? I know that if I am being scammed, chances are I will get my money back from the bank.
I know a lot of folks who use it successfully every day. There is just as much chance of incorrect depositing and withdrawal by dealing face to face with a teller as operating online.
Yes, I trust but there is a many kinds of facility.
I am an avid user of online banking. I loath going into banks – its almost archaic these days. You missing out on a wonderful convinience. There is alot of fraud, but the technologies against to fight it is better. Besides, its the banking institution that takes the risk
Thanks for ruining my day Skoobs… One thing I thought I was savvy about, then you ruin it for me. I like flossing to people. Then again, there’s cellphone banking (“,)
Phew! Thanks goodness. I’m about to close my OBA, right now!!! Thanks for that reality jilt…
Not at all.
I trust online banking to a large extent. Ensure that your personal computer as well as the Internet cafe you use has the latest anti-spyware and phishing software installed. Also check that other paysites have authentic certificates where you personal, credit/debit card information won’t be at risk. Also ensure that you have lost card protection and insurance for fraudulent transactions.
Yes, I do all my banking online. There is a new rootkit being spread around by the soviets, and on the advice of a yahoo user on the pc security section, I upped my security and now have anti rootkit plus antispyware, avira and anti malware.
The bank we use also has a 6 digit tan number list, and a few extra security aspects that the others do not have. And as Sins says, I think that our bank will compensate for any losses occurred due to their security lapses.
I would never do online banking at an internet cafe. I freak out just checking my mails there.
Use online banking daily, but not cellphone.
Will never use it in an internet cafe.
Rethink your thought on internet banking. Hope you will
see the benefit of not standing in a que.
