Australian – Can I use online banking under the age of 18?
A question from Cassie Edgar: Australian – Can I use online banking under the age of 18?
If I open a Commonwealth Bank account, for example, can I use the online banking facilities of the account (ie. able to transfer funds online to other accounts) if I’m not yet 18?

Yes, its called netbanksaver. You must already have an account with commonwealth (savings account & card). If you do not have an account yet you can set one up at your local branch and then set up the online banking. It will be the same account but you will be able to access it on the internet aswell as atm etc. Make sure you have a few forms of ID. Probably call commonwealth bank first and ask what you need to do to create an account. If you already have an account then you can either call up (with your account & personal info) or visit your local branch to set up netbank. Not sure if you can do in on the internet though.
