I've heard of things like this, but only when users click on a link in an email that they think will take them to a legitimate business web site, but which really takes them to some bogus site. Sounds like you've fallen prey to that kind of trick. Get a good virus removal program (Spybot search & destroy is free) or use an online virus scan program to get rid of it.

they are supposed to be safe and secure. the same thing happen to me when i was doing a survey at pampers.com. do you have any kind of virus protection on your comp? try running that. if not the best way to get rid of a virus, esp a trojan horse because those are really hard to get rid of, save all your data to a disc or something and completly wipe out your comp and then go back and reload all your programs. it is time consuming but gets the job done. good luck!

As stated...just being inactive on the site would do this.

It is a security measure...in case you were to have walked away from your screen....Someone else could then just sit-in and .....be you!!!!!

Chances are your session expired since you didn't properly log off before. Either that or you left the website on too long as some have a time limit for security purposes. Try waiting a bit and log on again. If you have a problem with your username/password, there should be a link where they will email you either one. If you are still having problems, contact your bank and they can immediately reset it for you.

Good luck.

Maybe it depends on the bank. Mine is instant but it adds in details later. For example it will say 'debit purchase' and the amount and then a day or two later it will say the store name.

I would say it is reliable but if you are concerned, good idea to keep track of it yourself.
