Question by Nacho-Nick: HSBC and rapport security problems, is it safer to cancel my internet banking all together?
I have hsbc banking and I have rapport software which has messed up my PC making it so unbearably slow. If my account got hacked and I didnt have rapport software does this mean HSBC will not pay out? If this is the case is it safer for me to quit internet banking all together?

Thanks

Good question, I would ask HSBC.I use HSBC but refuse to install Rapport. What you could do, is just use it when you do banking. All other times turn it off. I have heard lots of people say it slows browsing.
Click Start –> All Programs –> Trusteer Rapport –> Stop Rapport.

if you want to transfer funds from your SBI bank to another bank , you have to use third party transfer. You can choose the NEFT option under third party transfer, if the amount is very huge go for RTGS.

If you want to transfer funds from your SBI account to another SBI account go for inter bank transfer. i hope this helps.

Do you think internet banking is safe?

Question by happydawg: Do you think internet banking is safe?
I do all of my banking on my banks internet banking site. Its fast, convenient, and I can tell exactly when my checks go thru. I think it is very handy and eventually, I believe we will all have to bank online or not bank at all.
My significant other will not sign up for internet banking. He says he “doesnt have time” and he is too busy and doesnt want to do it.
Do you think it is safe, secure and the easiest way to bank?

A question from Bachchu Nazareth: How to implement Internet Banking at my workplace?
I have been working in this organisation for 15 years and the last 5 years independently managing the Dial up Electronic Banking system without any support from other staff. I have been assigned the responsibility of initiating setting up of the internet banking at our office. I am a graduate in commerce with Programming knowledge in Cobol and C+ and have successfully passed CCNA in year 2001 but have been out of touch ever since. I seek your advise as to what knowledge I must procure before proceeding to call in vendors for setting up IB site.
